workM8.io Assist Service
workM8.io was born out of the need for worker safety and as with the 'Duress' provided for lone-worker, the in-vehicle solution monitors worker safety.
An individual or employee in the field is still able to trigger a request for help through the workM8.io application or certified duress pendants or wearable devices.
How is workM8.io used for requesting assistance from the field?
The workM8.io Application is a Remote Worker Safety Application designed to run on your Android or iOS device. Primarily workM8.io operates over cellular and WiFi but has also been developed to run across the Iridium Satellite network with the correct hardware.
Simplicity and redundancy are behind everything we do. The mobile application is simple to use with a minimal number of taps/swipes to request assistance or call for help. We also understand that in certain circumstances even using your mobile phone can be cumbersome and support a range of wearables to ensure ease of use in as many environments as possible.
Whether the end user initiates a request for help through the application on the handset, smart watch or Bluetooth fob the results are the same. Once requested, an alarm is immediately sent to pre-defined escalation point be that a sophisticated operations centre, line manager via any mix of email, voice, SMS or an in-app notification.
The content of any alarm triggered can be configured by the Customer Administrator but the standard data workM8.io includes is worker name, mobile number and GPS location.
The workM8 software can be configured to re-try should a ‘help request’ not be responded to within a pre-defined time period.
